What other work is currently planned?

Thankfully the work required in my usual areas (esp. the main rack) is light at the moment so Peter and I are planning for me to spend one day at Stenbury whilst he gets some thinking time on the second day, it may therefore be possible for us to take up to 2 visitors with us on the first day. Steve (G7BVK) previously said that he would like to do this so he has first call for one of the seats. We intend to carry out the following work:-

1) Install the new 23cm Tx filter that Peter (G3PYB) described in the last “In Sync”.

2) Adjust the (very narrow) notch on the 70cm Rx filter for even better rejection of GB3IW (difficult without a temperature-controlled room).

3) Include the 70 Rx in the A2* auto/manual access facility.

4) Try to clear the baffling digi input snag.

5) Install the interim 10g Tx with cabling.

6) Remove the Backup Tx tray so that it can be updated on the NZL bench.

7) Install a permanent power cable across the room to the main rack (to stop us tripping over the current one)!

8) Grind back the most serious corrosion on the steel entry door and reprotect (I am still suffering from an injury sustained on my last visit whilst trying to force the darned thing open)!
