There were 18 paid up members present and this met the quorum of 10.

1) Chairman Report by Jim (G0DQH)

Jim (G0DQH) welcomed all to the meeting. He said that it had been a busy and enjoyable year. Jim (G0DQH) gave thanks to the club for allowing him to be chairman for the past 2 years, and remarked that it had been an honour. He hoped in some way that he had been able to assist the club

Jim (G0DQH) stated that we are not only fortunate in having the best repeater site, but also in having an outstanding technical team to run it. He stated that everything is now up and running, but we could have done without the recent technical issues which meant several trips to the island.

Thanks were given for the use of The Castle Inn as a venue for the meeting and junk sale.

2) Secretary’s Report by Tony (G7OGT)

Tony (G7OGT) thanked everyone for attending. He reported that there were 21 members up to the current AGM and there were 22 in the year before that.

Tony (G7OGT) mentioned the passing of Tony (G3YWG), and stated that he and many others had the pleasure of working Tony (G3YWG) and that he would be greatly missed. It was stated that SCART members attended the funeral in November 2011.

Tony (G7OGT) reminded all members to keep him informed directly of any changes to e-mail addresses and contact details.

3) Treasurer's Report and proposal for 2012-13 subscription levels, by Frank (G0LFI)

Frank (G0LFI) reported on a busy year due to many visits to the Isle of Wight. The biggest expense this year had been the cost of the ferries, which has nevertheless been kept down as much as possible. A balance of £1582.38 was reported. Accounts were available for inspection during the meeting.

It was reported that the club’s insurers had ceased to do amateur radio insurance. Frank (G0LFI) sought out other companies and was initially unsuccessful. He has received an e-mail from the RSGB saying that they are aware of the problem, and have suggested 2 potential insurers. Frank (G0LFI) is looking into which will suit our needs.

thanked the Horndean amateur radio club for letting SCART use their stall at the Wimborne rally. This gave some useful income for SCART.

Frank (G0LFI) stated that if we carry on as we are then there is no need to put up the subscription level at this time. Accordingly subscriptions of £20 were proposed by Juila (G0IUY) and seconded by John (G4WQZ). With no objections this subscription level was carried, for the forthcoming club year.
