The default for the new system is 23cm PAL Analogue (so you will be able to continue to access this without additional equipment) but two “bargain offers” have Order Keypads come along at exactly the right time, so here are the details:

All of the new facilities are accessed by DTMF and a 16 key DTMF Encoder is essential to select the different modules. There are several sources of 12 key (telephone-type) units but we were struggling to find a 16 key source but fortunately Simon (G0IEY) found an interesting link. I contacted them and although Chris (G6WHI) didn’t market a current kit, he had a prototype which he has kindly brought forward for us and here are the main details:

The keypad is approximately 2 ½” square (so it and its small PCB will fit inside a fist mic case).

You may wish to order through one person in bulk but unfortunately this will not be possible at the SCART AGM because Frank (G0LFI) and Christine (M6UBI) will be fully employed collecting subscriptions and organising the Surplus equipment Sale!

I should also add that you can order direct and that this item has been added to their web site (literally) today.
